1. Three Good Friends

三个好朋友

One day, a monkey rides his bike near the river.

一天，一只猴子在河边骑车。

This time he sees a lion under a tree.

这时他看见树下有一只狮子，

The lion runs at him.

狮子向他跑来。

He is afraid and falls into the river.

他非常的害怕，掉进河里。

He can’t swim. He shouts.

他不会游泳，大叫起来。

The rabbit hears him. He jumps into the river.

 The rabbit swims to the monkey, but he can’t help him.

Luckily, an elephant comes along.

Three friends are very happy. They go to the elephant’s home. Then, three of them become good friends.

2. Little Red Riding Hood

小红帽

Little Red Riding Hood is a lovely girl.

小红帽是一个可爱的女孩。

She likes red hats. So her mother calls her little Red Riding Hood.

她喜欢红帽子，于是她妈妈就叫她小红帽。

Her grandma loves her very much.

她的祖母很爱小红帽，

 But now she is ill. Her mother is busy.

但现在她生病了。小红帽的妈妈非常忙，

So she asks little Riding Hood to see her grandma.

所有她让小红帽去看望祖母。

In the forest, a wolf sees little Red Riding Hood,

在森林里，一只狼看见了小红帽。

“Look, little Riding Hood. I have children for lunch, the path goes to her grandma’s house.”

“瞧啊!小红帽。午餐有小孩子可以吃啦!这是一条去她祖母家的路。”

The wolf comes to grandma’s house and eats grandma.

狼来到了祖母家并吃掉了祖母。

After a while, little Red Riding Hood comes to grandma’s bed.

“Help! Help!” The wolf runs after little Red Riding Hood.

“救命，救命!狼追着小红帽。

At this time, a hunter passes through the house.

He shoots the wolf and saves little Red Riding Hood. Then he cuts the wolf and grandma comes out.

他用枪打死了狼并救出小红帽，然后他剥开狼的兔子，救出祖母。”

3. Two Holes for the Dogs

两个狗洞

My uncle has two dogs.

我的叔叔有两条狗。

One is big and the other is small.

一只是大的，另一只是小狗的。

He likes them very much.

他很喜欢它们。

One day, Mr. Smith came to visit him.

有一天，史密斯先生来看他。

When the friend saw two holes in the door,

a large hole and a small hole,

4. A Fine Match

势均力敌

One day a lady saw a mouse running across her kitchen floor.

有一天某位女士看到一只老鼠在自家的厨房地板上窜过。

She was very afraid of mouse, so she ran out of the house,

她很害怕老鼠，所以她冲出屋子，

got into a bus and went to the shops.

搭上了公共汽车直奔商店。

There she bought a mousetrap.

在那儿她买了一只老鼠夹。

The shopkeeper said to her, "Put some cheese in it and you will soon catch that mouse."

店主告诉她：“放点奶酪在里面，很快你就会逮住那只老鼠的。”

The lady went home with her mousetrap,

这位女士带着鼠夹回到家里，

 but when she looked in her cupboard, she could not find any cheese in it.

但她没有在碗橱里找到奶酪。

She did not want to go back to the shop,

她不想再回到商店里去，

because it was very late,

因为已经很晚了。

so she cut a picture of some cheese out of a magazine and put that in the trap.

于是，她就从一份杂志中剪下一幅奶酪的图片放进了夹子。

Surprisingly, the picture of the cheese was quite successful!

令人称奇的是，这画有奶酪的图片竟然奏效了!

When the lady came down to the kitchen the next morning she found a picture of a mouse in the trap beside the picture of the cheese!

第二天早上，这位女士下楼到厨房时，发现鼠夹里奶酪图片旁有一张画有老鼠的图片!
